Lynne has been with us since April 2014, and enjoys cohabitating with her several feline friends (this guy is Ziggy), along with her two dogs, G.G. and Mac. She was born in Connecticut, raised in California, has lived in Hawaii and moved to Vegas from Dallas in May 2013. Luckily, she ended up with us here. She enjoys going to the movies and dining out, and seeing some of the live shows here in town. Lynne has also volunteered with a couple of rescue organizations such as Feral Friends and Foreclosed Upon Pets. She is a mother to all animals and has helped bottle raise several kittens and even a litter of puppies in their time of need.
Melody joined us in December 2015. She was born in Escondido, California and lived in Chula Vista until she relocated to Las Vegas in
1997. She graduated from Bonanza High School and has been in the animal care field for 8 years. All of her children have four paws. She shares her home with her fiance, one dog, Dough Boy, a Pit Bull mix, three cats, Free-B, a Maine Coon mix, Rex, a tabby, Baby, a calico, and Peter, a yellow eared slider turtle. Her all time favorite dog breed is the Boston Terrier, and her beloved Bruce (pictured) was her faithful companion for 12 years. In her spare time she enjoys spending it with her family, bowling, scrapbooking, movies, photography, hanging out with her fiance and her fur babies, watching football. She is a die hard San Diego Chargers fan. In the near future she would like to volunteer for the LVMPD and also to assist at one of the local animal shelters. She loves all animals and feels they deserve a chance. Rescue and adoption truly saves lives!
Licensed Veterinary Technician (L.V.T.)
Gina, LVT, has worked at Siena since January of 2010. Before coming to work at Siena full time, she worked as the lead technician at Heaven Can Wait's Spay & Neuter Clinic and is very experienced with surgery, anesthesia, and emergency care. Gina has a soft spot for Australian Shepherds and any rescued animal. Her interest in the humane care of pets is exemplary and she is a great asset to our staff. She has volunteered at the Roos-N-More Zoo in Moapa, and loves to hike and bake when she isn't taking care of her 3 dogs, 3 cats, 2 turtles and loads of fish.
Licensed Veterinary Technician (L.V.T.)
Abigail has been with us since 2015. She was born in Ohio and moved here in 2006. She is currently in the Veterinary Technology Program at CSN, and hopes to work one day with elephants at an elephant sanctuary. Her personal animal friends include 3 dogs, 1 bearded dragon, and a snake. She has a huge soft spot for pit bulls, reptiles and any rescued animals. In her free time, she enjoys being with her family, watching college football (Go Buckeyes!), and eating good food. She loves working with animals, and she treats every animal like her own as soon as they walk through the hospital's doors.
Jennifer joined us in October 2016. She has worked with animals for the past 20 years. Her first rescue kitten was caught with a string, a box, and a stick. She has worked for the NSPCA and has been a lead technician multiple times. She also has raised 5 wonderful daughters (not a proud mom or anything). She has a kind word and a gentle touch for every pet that crosses her path. Her experience makes doctor visits a less scary experience. We are grateful to have her.
Animal Care Takers
Mario was born in the Philippines, raised in West Germany and now lives in Las Vegas. He spends his free time hiking and riding his quad. Mario recently married a beautiful woman and treats her and her 2 boys with all the love and kindness he shows the Siena boarders. Mario is fortunate enough financially that he does not have to work, but he enjoys giving his time to caring for animals. Mario has been caring for pets for years and we appreciate his expertise and genuine love of animals. He has a special way of knowing what pets need.
Ashley joined us in May 2017. She was born in California and relocated to Las Vegas in 2012. She has always had all kinds of pets, and currently has one cat and two dogs. She started working with animals at the age of 14 and 1/2 and has continued ever since. Aside from animals, she also has a passion for photography and baking. She plans to incorporate all three in her own business one day soon.
Haley joined us in May 2016. She was born in Las Vegas, then lived in Reno for two years, but she happily moved back to her permanent home in Las Vegas. She attended Sierra Vista High School for two years, then transferred to Nevada State High School because she wanted a head start in college. Haley will hopefully graduate Nevada State High School this coming Spring 2017 with a Regents Diploma and will have already completed at least two years of college toward her Bachelors in Biochemistry. She has three cats: Ginger, an orange tabby mix, Peaches, an orange tabby, and Toby, a black tabby, along with an energetic Labrador named Riley. Hiking with Riley at Mount Charleston is one of Haley's favorite activities, as well as reading or watching movies with her cats. Haley also has a blue beta fish named Herman and has gradually expanded her salt water tank to include two clown fishes. She loves helping all of the animals at Siena Animal Hospital and looks forward to meeting more furry friends in the future.
